april 11th, the most important historical event of the province
Reasons for a historical date

The definition of the most important historical date of the province has a basic origin: unique and distinctive. April 11th of 1985 has such characteristics. That day Arrived in Guantanamo the two most important figures of the new Gesta: Maximo Gomez, the supreme military chief, historical symbol of internationalism and modesty and Jose Marti, the political leader, inspirer of the new generation and the same one that created the Revolutionary Party to lead the necessary war.
