TThe Programs of the Revolution and the investment plans have contributed to strengthen the love that more than 11 thousand inhabitants of the first Cuban antimperialistic trench feel for their land.

If the Yankee marines were not in Guantanamo  Naval Base, Caimanera people had 117 more kilometers square of land belonging to their municipality.

spite of the harm caused by the Great Empire affecting the fishing activity and the access to both, the bay and to one of the most beautiful beaches of the country, Caimanera improves step by step thanks to the encouraging Program, prepared by the own locality and  the Counsel of Ministers and the Young Communist Party’s  national Committee, with the objective of  improving the  living conditions of the population.

Such project takes into account agricultural, cultural and sport development of the Community and the study of the industrial potentialities, improvement in the recreation and services, as well as the possibility of regaining  historical and identity traditions.

Recuperation
Caimanera workers go ahead in the installment of main and second collectors of the drainage and work in the connection of it with the houses.

 “The water control valves were changed and the water supply is having no more problems”, said Daniel Thompson Atkinson, vice-president of the Municipal Popular Assembly.

The gastronomy service received nine frizzier, cooks, fans, videos, tape recorders, bicycles, among others recourses to better the comfort and working conditions of the different units.
Caimanera has today one of the best elaboration centers of the country and its people are proud of living in the second municipality of the province.

Few months ago Caimanera town received the bread from Cayamo city, but now they have a new bakery with advance technology and it provides the entire population and several entities of the municipality.

In education the transformations are significant: the primary school Wilfredo Gonce and the Junior High school Pavel Rojo are completely repaired, there is an increase in the  registry of the course, at the same time, new busses are used in the transportation of teachers from Guantanamo city.

Other investments were  made in  the municipal clinic, the pool, the boxing gym and the central park, as well as in the construction of a children game room, a judo area and the new market.

The fishing industry, one of the main economic aspects of the locality, has repaired several ships and finished the room for workers.

 The special attention that receives Caimanera people includes delivery of food and salary higher than Guantanamo people.  

In spite of the limitations that implies living with the enemy, the 11 thousand of Caimanera population love and defend the land where they were born and they are very proud of belonging to the first antimperialistic Cuban trench.
