Feb 03 2011, 02:05 am

Yisell RODRIGUEZ MILAN

Guantanamo's Venceremos Newspaper–- Anais Abreu will present this Sunday at 8:00 pm in Guantanamo Concert Room Antonia Luisa Cabal to interpret the best of her 25 years of artistic career.

The bolero, guajira and tango will be part of the concert that will probably include popular themes from the national song book like “the love ends” (El amor se acaba) by Osvaldo Rodríguez, the anthological “Love me as I am”( Ámame como soy) and some other composition by Elena Burke.

Anais Abreu is one of the best bolero and song singers. In 1983 she won the first place in a competition promoted by the TV program Everybody sings, later in 1989, he got the Great Prize in the Contest Adolfo Guzman and a similar award during the cha-cha-cha festival in 1990.

Some art critics recognize her as one of the best interpreters of the feeling, genre that during the forties emerged form the hands and the guitars of a group of passionate that transformed the Yankee word “feeling” to add it the nostalgia and national feelings.

When once asked about the health of this musical style she said: “The feeling needs more support, recognition and broadcasting, but is not dead. I am sure that while the human beings love the sun, the sea or the moon, they will continue singing to love”.  And so is she, an eternal music lover, and lover of the same good art she will be give us on Sunday.
