Pedro Medina to Coach Cuban Team for University Games

Guantanamo's Venceremos- Former Cuban baseball player Pedro Medina was chosen to coach the Cuban team that will play against a U.S. university team in Havana.

  Medina, national champion with the team Industriales in the 1986-1987 season as a player, and in 1995-1996 season as a coach with the same team, will be assisted by Rafael Suarez, Manuel Alvarez and Ruben Amador. Alvarez will be in charge of training the pitchers.

The games against the Lakers, from the United States,, will take place on Thursday, Friday and Sunday.

The Lakers come from Grand Valley University, in Michigan.
